Large Fear and Anxiety of Techies

Interestingly, during Covid, much fear and anxiety boiled through for techies. It happened for many people, as "at home" Covid was like a pressure cooker. The curse and the gift is that it got most people starting to be in touch with their emotional selves. 

Unfortunately many well functioning people sought out counseling, ended up in mental health inpatient treatment settings, and found they had to face emotions that they had been hiding for awhile. It can be said that many should go deeper in personal growth however it was forced on some people as the feelings bubbling up in them was too much to take. This along with the added fear of uncertainty, job loss, and relationship difficulties brought many to their breaking point. 

Keep in mind, many had coping mechanisms, some healthy, some not, but many of their normal activities were cut off. This included exercise, eating out, attending clubs or shows, and interacting with family and friends. Even the non social or shy were used to a certain amount of routine, hobby, or basic interaction. Add fear of the unknown to that, and we had a sort of emotional human epidemic beyond the outside disease of Covid. Many people were also cut off from spending the last, most precious stages of life with loved ones. This resulted in a current and often lasting inner trauma. 

Therapy & Meditation

Thankfully online therapy was available for people and it blossomed often to meet the needs of those coping. As a secondary, trauma became more of a household word and highly committed and intelligent authors began to bring its acknowledgement and exploration to the forefront. EMDR offered a scientific airplane route for those hearty enough to resolve lifetime and current trauma in a number of months or years. 

Meditation and Yoga science also became much more sought out through the scientific teachings or Self Realization Fellowship. Many, myself included, found peace through finding direct and exact pathways through EMDR and SRF to a peace never before felt within ourselves. The scientist within us was actually able to grab hold of what would forward us into a top consciousness. 

A map for success

This being said, most needed a map collecting their past difficulties with current offsets and then the proper resolution of these difficulties. Therapists were very helpful but it is often the people pursuing this inner healing and evolution for themselves that could explain it best to others. 

Although I was doing much coaching around Howleader for getting the job, I found so many people opening up to me about the fear, anxiety, inner struggle that hadn't been alleviated thus far in their life. 

Most had never gotten nurtured properly, formed a "cathecting" attachment, nor resolved the underlying theme of fear, sadness, loneliness, or desperation. This really hit my core as I can often see the potential and gifts within people, but they weren't experiencing them within themselves. 

Positive mindset is great but it's will is often much more effective when a person has let go of emotional abscesses or impasses existing at their core. When that energy is freed up it can often help them to create peace, happiness and otherwise. When it remains buried people are often numb, and use chemicals, alcohol or unhealthy escapes to feel themselves. This can be workaholism, thrill seeking, sex and love, or otherwise. They can also be looking for early former childhood validation and connection through current adult relationships. Isolation can also be a killer as people aren't best often when alone with their minds. Attaining inner peace and enlightenment can make it so no matter where you are, you can access the beauty within yourself without the need of outside sources. If people have an exact path they can often attain this within a year. Often people only get pieces of the puzzle and it becomes a parts party and many are left out. 

It takes an expert who has both healed, been educated, and has the gift or knowledge and intuition flowing through them to help people reach their best selves. It is a multidimensional approach like making sure all the parts are working properly on a computer system. It also takes some listening, diagnosing and troubleshooting to find out what needs to be worked on. It's also different and sometimes similar for many people. All or none thinking does not apply in this endeavor. It takes a skilled craftsperson and guide on an emotional, mental, and spiritual level to walk you to your own path of inner freedom and excellence. 

  • The first part is in identifying the problems, setbacks and areas that need to be worked on within you. This is done through some talking, being interviewed about you, and some writing. 

  • Second is addressing the healing needed to be assigned to each aspect of your inner world. 

  • Third is releasing the past and current pains, anger, resentment, stresses and fear. 

  • Next is to look at what you are using as unhealthy escapes and coping mechanisms in masking what needs to be healed. 

  • Also, getting a growth plan that you follow as it gives you joy, peace, and your best way of living. 

  • Creating a plan then setting right any off balance areas with others in your life is a key next step. 

  • With this you will also identify boundaries and what is OK in your space, and who you need to surround yourself with. 

  • You need to be taught visualization and meditation to decide what focus and energies you will allow to be present in your life. 

Beyond this, creating a way to give back, serve, and help others will allow you to share the gifts you've achieved. As Mother Theresa says: "the highest form of relationship is service."
